Memory StonesA Fellowship of Curiosity

Wonder Break

Welcome, Traveler

You do not need to prepare an answer or even know exactly what you want to explore.

A Wonder Break is a guided sitting. The conversation belongs to you. The prompt that holds it is not posted here.

The Four Agreements

These agreements protect the posture of a Wonder Break. Read them before beginning and carry them with you into the conversation.

Inspired by The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. The four titles are used with attribution. The language beneath each is Memory Stones' posture for a Wonder Break, not a restatement of the book.

  1. 01

    Be impeccable with your word

The Traveler names what is true

Say what you mean, including uncertainty. The Guide may offer a mirror. Interpretation returns to you. You keep authority over what meaning fits.

  2. 02

    Don't take anything personally

A reflection is not a verdict

What the Guide offers is a candidate, not a judgment of who you are. Receive it, turn it, or set it down. It does not get to name you.

  3. 03

    Don't make assumptions

    Wonder before conclusion

Stay with curiosity long enough to see what else may be present. The first Stone may not be the Stone where the inquiry rests. The first answer is not required.

  4. 04

    Always do your best

    Pause is not failure

Your best here is honest turning, not performance. Keep, release, pause, preserve, or carry nothing forward. Clarified uncertainty can be a responsible outcome.

You remain the Traveler. AI is the Guide.

Capture is not permission. The experience belongs to you. Nothing travels farther than you permit.

Choose Your Guide

Different AI platforms may respond differently to the same Wonder Break prompt.

Observational Field Notes. These are observations from use, not rankings or guarantees. Platforms change. Use the one available to you, or the one that fits what you need today.

Microsoft Copilot

Observed strengthsIn our field observations, especially strong with more human tasks: listening, lived language, and staying with what a person is actually carrying.

May be useful whenThe sitting is personal, relational, or you want a Guide that tends to meet you as a person rather than as a problem to solve.

What to expectOften warm and usable. If it drifts toward workplace next-steps, ask it to stay with the Stone.

Gemini

Observed strengthsIn our field observations, has often been the most efficient and accurate Guide for a Wonder Break. It can also export a PDF of the entire chat transcript.

May be useful whenYou want a precise, relatively quick sitting, or you may later share the experience in full — or upload the transcript so another AI can help redact before anything travels.

What to expectTends to move cleanly and stay close to what you said. Export the transcript when you want a portable record. Sharing that PDF is still your choice. Capture is not permission.

ChatGPT

Observed strengthsWell-rounded. Handles a wide range of sittings and usually keeps a long thread once the prompt is loaded.

May be useful whenYou want a capable general Guide, or you need one conversation that can hold both feeling and thinking.

What to expectCan drift. If you need a more expeditious sitting, keep returning it to the question you are actually turning. You can say: stay with this; do not widen yet.

Open ChatGPT

Grok

Observed strengthsIn our field observations, works best with more technical tasks: systems, evidence, definitions, tradeoffs, and turning a complex question without losing the plot.

May be useful whenThe Stone is technical, operational, research-heavy, or you need a candid Guide that can stay inside the problem.

What to expectPace can be direct. If the sitting is tender rather than technical, Claude or Copilot may fit better. If it skips ahead, ask it to slow down.

Open Grok

Claude

Observed strengthsEspecially strong with more human, EQ-centered inquiries: tenderness, nuance, and staying with feeling without rushing to a fix.

May be useful whenThe Stone is personal, relational, or you need a Guide that can hold emotional weight with care.

What to expectMay write at length. You can ask for shorter turns: one question at a time.

The prompt stays with the practice

The Wonder Break Master Prompt is the instrument. It is not a public handout. If you want to take a Wonder Break, it is facilitated — not downloaded.

The Four Agreements above are yours to carry. The sitting itself begins when a Guide is present.
